Rhodes to gold at the National League Finals

Delta Trampoline clubs Brody Rhodes took his first ever National League Finals gold at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

Rhodes competed in the 13-14 level 3 category and qualified for the finals after winning both qualifying events attended, achieving a maximum of 200 points in the league table.

 

The National League is one of the biggest UK trampoline competitions, with people from all around the country attending qualifiers in three regions, North, Southeast and Wales, with 32 people from each qualifier attending the Finals. This year’s events are the most participated in and achieved a record-breaking turnout. Despite only being in its ninth year of existence, the league maintains its ability to create a competitive atmosphere for aspiring British trampolinists whilst encouraging a friendly welcoming atmosphere for all ages and sizes of clubs.

The Chesterfield trampolinist then completed two routines scoring an impressive 84.72 in hopes of reaching the top eight and getting the chance of winning gold. This landed him in top position going into the top eight final.

 

The final saw the score go back to zero, with Brody getting gold with a score of 44.04 beating second place Harry Roberts by 5.78 points.

Delta and Chesterfield coach Darren Potts said he could not have been any prouder of Brody’s achievements and said its thoroughly deserved for him and for the club as a whole.
