You don't get many relegation 6 pointers so early in the season, but in the context of how the table has started to shape up, this weekends clash at the Pirelli stadium could be pivotal in terms of how both these teams could look come the end of the season.

The Brewers will meet Forest Green for the first time in history as they aim to get back on track after last weekends defeat at Shrewsbury, but most importantly sort the horrid home form, with the brewers yet to gain any points at the Pirelli or even score goal in the league.

Rovers come into the game on the back of a heavy home defeat to Exeter City, a team the brewers defeated for their only league win of the season. It's been a mixed start for the greens on their first ever season in the 3rd tier, with there opening game seeing them come out with a 2-1 in the Gloucestershire derby against Bristol Rovers. Since then, they have run into some trouble winning just one more came, collecting 2 draws and accumulating 6 defeats. They are also the only team to give Burton a run for their money when shipping goals, with rovers conceding 22, just 2 less then the Brewers' 24.

The Gloucestershire side are however better on their travels this season, with them collecting 6 of their 8 points away for The New Lawn, this could be a key stat as Burton Albion have known problems at home this season.

Maamaria's magic?

It's been a much improved past few games for Albion since Dino Maamaria took the job on permanently, with the football looking much more composed, and most importantly the defensive structure has been tightened significantly. The Tunisian has also picked up the clubs first win away at Exeter 2 weeks back, it can only be forward for the Staffordshire side as they look to get a strong run going and get away from relegation danger.

Last weekend was what some fans thought the best Albion had played all season despite losing out 2-1 in Shropshire. The brewers dominated from minute one with many chances falling but they couldn't find the net. It was typical luck that with only 2 clear cut chances all game that Shrewsbury took all 3 points leaving Dino and his army frustrated. If they play like that each week, without a doubt the points will start flowing and the Brewers will be back on track to stay in league one.
